Merry MERRY Chico's
So today, in the midst of a baaad case of Winter Blues, also known as Sad-As-Hell-Disease, I opened my mail only to find ....A CHICO'S GIFT CARD FROM MY SISTER! Mon Dieu, what a perfect way to banish the blues. I have my eye on this denim jacket that I really wanted but couldn't justify buying. But now, don't I have an awesome excuse for frittering away a sloggish afternoon?

After What I Bought Tonight, I Need to Be Paris Hilton
I may have spoken too fast about not going commando. If this is a key facet of any financial strategy, commando I will go. After all, Britney is now #1 on any Internet Buzz List, especially Yahoo!'s, while Chico's and my ChicoRama blog, hover in oblivion. I suspect that we would climb to glory if only Chico's were tightly linked with commando by Google's keyword search.
Besides, after what I spent tonight at the Chico's party, it's either Super Lotto or hanging with Hollywood trampettes who flash Gold Amex cards on my behalf. I suspect there is still a modicum of cool left in me, despite the fact that my hair rather resembles one of Paris' pups. Perhaps they would adopt me. Perhaps they would set up a Chico's Hedge Fund for me.
In any case, the new store is glorious ...lots of room to display all the shimmery jackets and tops ...and apparently a Soma store is going in next door. My impatient daughter, who barely managed to stay long enough to roll her eyes before she bolted to Starbucks, now knows exactly where to find my next 33 birthday presents.
More tomorrow ...this massive silver Chico's bag is calling to me. (And they tucked a teeny box of Godiva inside).

Pity Poor Paris, Britney & Lindsey
Pity poor Paris, Britney and Lindsey ....undoubtedly they weren't invited to the big Chico's Party tonight at the Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey. Chances are, no one will 'go commando' at this shindig but even so I am excited to see the new store expansion and get my free gift. This last gaggle of Chico's gems I've just sold on eBay has been a huge success ....reinforcing my sincere devotion to Chico-ettes. Yes, we are a non-commando group, most of us, seldom venturing to Hyde or Butter in our size 0-3 Travelers and nearly always buckling up our Somas before we leave the house. Still, life is good even if we're not splashed all over Yahoo!s Buzz Lists.

Merry Chico's
The Chico-ettes have not let me down! I have bids galore on most of the go-everywhere, do-everything Chico's classics I posted. Okay, the sunshine-yellow shirt and shell needs a boost ....but half the country is snowed in and concentrating on boots, scarves and scraping the ice off the windshield. As always, I have had polite inqueries and solid bidders. This is what I mean -- Chico's buyers on ebay are a different breed of buyer.
When I first started selling my Chico's gems on eBay, I thought it was a fluke ...the way Chico's buyers behaved versus buyers bidding on other items. But it has happened virtually everytime I post my goodies ....I get lovely handwritten notes and charming emails. Some of it has to be because we all know we are pretty much guaranteed to look great in whatever we buy. But some of it may be due to the psychographics of Chico's primary market (yes, I confess -- I am a market researcher by day; eBayer by night). One of these days I am going to get in touch with the folks at Chico's headquarters in Florida and see what's up ....
